Hi I’m Armand Murach, a highly skilled attorney specializing in criminal defense law. I graduated Cum Laude from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law, where my academic performance earned me the NITA Excellence in Advocacy Award and induction into the prestigious National Order of Barristers, an honors society limited to the top trial advocacy students in each graduating class. These honors reflect my commitment to legal excellence and my passion for advocating for my clients.
Throughout my career, I have become known for my strategic, 360-degree approach to criminal defense. I have handled a wide range of cases, from serious felonies to more minor offenses, establishing myself as a trusted advocate in both state and federal courts. My in-depth criminal law knowledge and courtroom experience allows me to build strong defenses and secure favorable outcomes for my clients. My dedication to justice is evident in my thorough preparation and tireless efforts to protect my clients’ rights.
My legal expertise began with my years of experience as an Assistant Public Defender in the 19th Judicial Circuit, where I handled all types of cases, from major crimes to juvenile cases. This role gave me a comprehensive understanding of criminal law from defense and prosecution perspectives. I represented clients in cases involving violent offenses, drug crimes, murder, and other complex criminal matters, always advocating for the rights of individuals facing serious charges. My work in juvenile defense also allowed me to navigate the unique challenges of representing minors in the justice system. This experience has proven invaluable in shaping my current criminal defense practice and even contributing to changes in the law.
After moving back home to South Florida, I served as an Assistant State Attorney in the 17th Judicial Circuit in Broward County. During this time, I worked in several specialized units, including Drug Trafficking, Traffic Homicide, and the Career Criminal Units. These roles gave me invaluable insight into the strategies and tactics used by the prosecution in complex and high-stakes cases. I also trained and mentored new prosecutors, further sharpening my ability to evaluate cases from multiple perspectives and anticipate prosecutorial moves. This unique combination of prosecutorial experience and training enhances my ability to craft more effective defenses, giving my clients a distinct advantage in criminal cases.
In addition to my legal practice, I have dedicated much of my career to teaching and mentoring aspiring lawyers. For over a decade, I have been actively involved with the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA), where I teach trial skills and help develop the next generation of litigators. I also coach law students in mock trial competitions, helping them hone their courtroom strategies, cross-examination techniques, and persuasive arguments. My commitment to legal education has earned me the respect of my peers as I continue to inspire and shape the future of trial law.
