Who I Am
I am a trial attorney, a mentor, and a lifelong advocate for justice. My career has been dedicated to ensuring that every person accused of a crime receives a strong, strategic defense—no matter the charges.
I believe that effective criminal defense requires more than just knowledge of the law—it requires relentless preparation, creative problem-solving, and the ability to see a case from every angle. My unique background working on both sides of the courtroom gives me a distinct advantage in defending my clients.
Beyond my legal career, I am passionate about teaching and mentoring future trial attorneys. For several years, I have been involved with the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA), I have trained state attorneys and public defenders in trial skills, cross-examination, and persuasive argument techniques. I also coach mock trial teams, helping shape the next generation of courtroom advocates in those same skills.
Why I Do This Work
I pursued a career in law because I wanted to make a real impact in people’s lives. From my early days as a public defender, I saw how overwhelming and intimidating the legal system can be for those facing charges. I knew I had the skills and dedication to level the playing field and fight for justice.
Later, as a prosecutor in the 17th Judicial Circuit, I gained firsthand insight into how the state builds cases, negotiates plea deals, and prepares for trial. That experience was invaluable—but I knew my true calling was defense work. I wanted to use that knowledge to help people, not convict them.
At Rossen Law Firm, I’ve found a team that shares my passion for protecting clients and ensuring they have the strongest defense possible. Whether a client is facing a minor charge or a life-changing felony accusation, I am committed to fighting for their best possible future.
