All charges against Courtney were dismissed.
Courtney was a state employee and was afraid of losing her job and ruining her professional reputation. She was also very upset that her job is to help people in need, and now here she was being accused of not doing that.
Courtney C. was a state employee responsible for conducting home visits to make sure that children placed in her care were taken care of when she was accused of falsifying records. The allegations against Courtney were that she had documented making several home visits when in fact she had not actually done them. Courtney admitted to accidentally entering the wrong dates on a couple of these visits, and was pregnant at the time of these alleged non-visits which is why some of her notes were untimely.
A previous investigation into Courtney’s behavior had already cleared her of the accusations that she was falsifying records. We decided to work with the prosecutor’s office to get the charges declined.
