We won at trial. The jury found Kamil not guilty and he walked out a free man.
Client Concerns about South Florida DUI Charges:
Kamil was afraid of losing at trial and being sent to jail. He was looking at a max of 270 days in jail.
At 6am in the morning Kamil D. crashed into the gate of a townhouse community in Margate, Florida and passed out. Two nurses who lived in the community came out to see if he was okay and took photos of him passed out behind the wheel. The police came, smelled weed, alcohol and found a joint in his car. They then conducted a DUI investigation. Kamil agreed to do the field sobriety exercises, which were not recorded, nor were there any witnesses. He was then arrested for DUI with Damage to Property.
At the police station the video of Kamil shows him looking sober and standing with no balance problems and speaking without slurring. The nurses who found him admitted they didn’t smell alcohol or see signs of impairment. We also got the cops to admit they didn’t think he was under the influence of weed and convinced the jury that the prosecution was just trying to paint Kamil as a bad person.
