The City of Weston is contracted with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to provide all law enforcement services.
If you are looking to search for sexual offender and predator information in Weston, or anywhere in South Florida, you can do so at the system created by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office provides all law enforcement services, fire rescue, and code- compliance services for Weston. BSO is led by Sheriff Gregory Tony, who was sworn in January 2019.
BSO Weston offers a handful of programs for the community to take advantage of, including Seniors and Law Enforcement Together (S.A.L.T.), Citizen Observer Patrol (COP), Law Enforcement Explorer Program, and Weston University Police Services Academy. The Police Services Academy is a free 8-week summer program available to a select number of Weston residents aged 11-17. This program gives kids the opportunity to explore a variety of career paths and learn about safety while having fun.
The top DUI officers in Weston include all the current members of the DUI Task Force. David Faccini, a retired BSO DUI Task Force officer, returned to BSO and works road patrol in Weston.

Sheriff Gregory Tony oversees BSO. The Sheriff’s Office has 16 districts. BSO’s services include a Child Protective Investigations Section, a Civil Division and a Department of Law Enforcement. In addition to road patrol and other operations, special BSO units include a Bomb Squad, a K-9 (canine) unit, School resource deputy unit and more. Community programs include drug court, in-custody behavioral services, probation division, employment services programs, and more.
BSO also supports texting to 911 if calling is not an option.

BSO handles the issue of Driving Under the Influence with the DUI Unit, which incorporates the DUI Task Force, DUI/Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT), and BAT Video. The DUI Task Force works to identify and apprehend impaired drivers and boaters, as well as assisting other law enforcement agencies and promotes support groups including Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and Students Against Drunk Driving (SADD). BAT centers use the Intoxilyzer 8000 to test for evidence of alcohol and provide technical support during the processing of arrestees, while BAT Video staff collect video footage of offenders and use it to teach Florida prosecutors on issues regarding forensic breath alcohol testing.

Weston Courts are part of the 17th Judicial Circuit, which encompasses all of Broward County. Any cases that are appealed are handled in the 4th District Courts of Appeal in West Palm Beach.
There are four Broward County Courthouses. The Central Courthouse, North Regional Courthouse, South Regional Courthouse, and West Regional Courthouse are collectively referred to as “the “Broward County Courthouses.”

Court hearings held at regional courthouses include county civil, misdemeanor criminal, and traffic cases. In Weston, these types of cases are held at the West Regional Courthouse.
