Adam speaks to mental health professionals in Florida about what to do if a client becomes a threat and how to get a restraining order

In February 2019, Adam traveled to Orlando to do a co-presentation on Restraining Orders and Safety for Mental Health Professionals with friend of the firm, Amanda Patterson, a therapist who owns a group practice, Caring Therapists of Broward.

Adam’s portion of the presentation focused on giving therapists valuable information on how to file a restraining order against clients who cross the line and become threatening. We discussed the best way to present evidence without violating HIPAA and how to proactively combat common defense to restraining orders.

The presentation was well received and hopefully we’ll be giving it again soon!
