The Broward Sheriff’s office contains a DUI Unit that specializes in the control and prevention of driving under the influence of Alcohol and Drugs. This specialized unit possesses three separate divisions that include the DUI Task Force, DUI/Breath Alcohol Testing (also known as BAT), and BAT Video. Within each division there are specially trained deputies who work together to enforce DUI Laws, process individuals who are arrested for DUIs, and aim to increase the knowledge surrounding the issues that arise when one drives under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Lauderhill Courts are part of the 17th Judicial Circuit, which encompasses all of Broward County. Any cases that are appealed are handled in the 4th District Courts of Appeal in West Palm Beach.
