My name is Grainne Popen and I currently go to school at University of Utrecht in the Netherlands. I study law with a social justice concentration. I am in my third year.
What do you enjoy about interning at Rossen Law Firm?
I enjoy the opportunities to learn. It is a very hands-on internship that provides a lot of opportunities to grow. I especially enjoy being able to attend trials and visit court.

What do you enjoy about interning at Rossen Law Firm?
I really enjoy the hands-on experience that we are offered, as I have truly gained irreplaceable insight on the legal field. I am able to assist the attorneys with their cases, and have attended court numerous times. I also enjoy working with the other interns, as we are all like minded individuals who work together on tasks. Overall this internship has been an amazing opportunity.

Who are you:
My name is Reilly Caldwell and I am a senior at Vanderbilt University where I am studying Law, Communications, and Chinese. I’m originally from Westport, CT and I moved to Fort Lauderdale last summer with my family. I love living here and visiting on school breaks, especially for the warm weather and amazing food!
What do you enjoy about interning at Rossen Law Firm?
This summer I have learned so much about the law and what it is like being an attorney through attending court, organizing evidence, and researching case law. I write articles for the firm’s website, which has been an invaluable opportunity for me to develop legal research and writing skills. In particular, my favorite thing I have done this summer has been helping to research for and write a writ of habeas corpus. I have loved getting to know everyone at the firm, especially the other interns. We hang out together outside of work and we even have a book club!
What do you do when you’re not working for Rossen Law Firm?
In my free time, I love to read, bake, listen to music and podcasts, or take my goldendoodle for a walk. I also work for Vanderbilt’s radio station and manage their blog. This summer I have been preparing great content and ideas for the upcoming semester!

My name is Marisa Cefola, and I am a sophomore at Cornell University. I am studying communication, business, and law & society. I love to write! At Cornell, I am an assistant news editor for the Cornell Daily Sun newspaper and plan to write for the Cornell Law Review.
What do you enjoy about interning at Rossen Law Firm?
My favorite experiences interning at Rossen Law Firm have been observing court hearings, as they put a case’s real impact into perspective. In other words, seeing the client and feeling what they feel in the moment has inspired me to become a lawyer the most. I have also enjoyed getting to know the other interns; we have all become great friends!
What do you do when you’re not working for Rossen Law Firm?
I really enjoy going to the beach and try to go as often as possible when I’m home from school. I also love arts and crafts! Making friendship bracelets and paintings for my friends has always been one of my hobbies.
Who are you?
Hi, my name is Jacqueline Zogby; I am 23 years old and a rising 3L at George Mason University, Antonin Scalia Law School. From a young age, I’ve always had a passion for criminal law, which has served as a driving force in both my academic and professional pursuits. Prior to embarking on my law school journey, I attended the University of Tampa, where I majored in Criminology and Criminal Justice.
What do you enjoy about interning at Rossen Law Firm?
Interning at the Rossen Law Firm has been incredibly exciting. The entire team is super knowledgeable and friendly, and I have enjoyed observing and learning from the attorneys. Some of my favorite parts of the internship have been watching our attorneys litigate cases, observing all kinds of legal proceedings, and participating in strategy sessions with clients. I have also really loved the legal research and writing component of the internship, especially given the fascinating and distinctive nature of our cases. I have learned something new every day and have really grown to love the area of criminal defense.
What do you do when you’re not working for Rossen Law Firm?
Outside work, I really enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also love reading, practicing hot yoga, and planning exciting adventures. All of us interns have become super close and even started our own informal book club where we all vote on a book to read and discuss it outside of work and during our lunch breaks!

My name is Joseph Lucas, and I am currently a senior enrolled in the esteemed Pre-Law Academy at Spanish River High School. As an aspiring legal professional, I am deeply passionate about pursuing a future career as a criminal defense attorney. To achieve this goal, I plan to attend college and major in Political Science and Criminology, which will equip me with the essential knowledge and skills required to excel in this field.

Interning at Rossen Law Firm has been a highly enlightening and rewarding experience. One aspect that particularly stands out for me is the invaluable opportunity to witness legal proceedings in court, deepening my understanding of the criminal justice system. Additionally, the dynamic and supportive atmosphere fostered by both the interns and lawyers at Rossen Law Firm has been truly remarkable. It is a stimulating blend of camaraderie and healthy competition, which I find immensely enjoyable. As the president of our debate team, I am dedicated to fostering an environment of growth and success for all members. What do you enjoy about interning at Rossen Law Firm?
My favorite part about interning at the firm is working on client cases and then actually going to court to see that case in action. I love how all of the attorneys and staff are so kind and are always open to answering any questions I have. The experience I’ve gained is invaluable, and for that I am very grateful. What do you do when you’re not working for Rossen Law Firm?
When I’m not working for Rossen Law Firm during my breaks, I am usually either studying or at Mock Trial & Moot Court practice during the school year. I also spend a lot of time volunteering, and as the President of my school’s Pre-Law Society, I am often planning different service events. My name is Ellie Parker and I am a 3L at Emory University School of Law. I anticipate receiving my JD in May. Upon graduation, I will be working in Wealth Management at Goldman Sachs.
What do you enjoy about interning at Rossen Law Firm?
So many things! I had the privilege of interning in person this summer and I loved the atmosphere at the firm. Everyone was so friendly and social and I felt comfortable right away. Scott and Shanee were quick to answer any questions I had and all of the attorneys were super accessible even with their busy workloads.

My name is Hailey Martinez, I am a sophomore at Fort Lauderdale High school. I am a Pre-Law and Public Affairs magnet student, and am working towards my AICE diploma in the school’s Cambridge magnet program, along with my AP Capstone and high school diploma. Once I graduate, I would love to pursue a career in the legal field.
What do you enjoy about interning at Rossen law firm?
Interning at Rossen law firm was an entirely new experience for me. It was my first ever job, and I can say with absolute surety that I’ll never forget it. My favorite thing about my time there is how much hands-on legal experience I got. I’d never seen ninety percent of the material I was given to work with, yet I was encouraged to participate and immerse myself within opportunities like attending trials, depositions, and strategy sessions that displayed what it’s truly like to be a lawyer.
What do you do when you’re not working at Rossen law firm?
In my free time, I love to cook. Whenever I’m not up to my neck in schoolwork, I’ll bake something for the whole family to enjoy over a movie. I read occasionally, and my favorites are fantasy/political dramas.
Who are you?
My name is Jesenia Rivera, and I am currently a second-year law student at Nova Southeastern University, where I am actively involved in both the Nova Trial Association and the Moot Court Society. After graduation, I plan to pursue criminal defense.
What do you enjoy about interning at Rossen Law Firm?
Ever since I first walked through the door, the entire team at RLF welcomed me with open arms. I love the fact that all the attorneys were so willing to answer any questions I had. This internship was extremely immersive, teaching me more than I ever could have learned in law school. Throughout my time, I was able to work directly with the attorneys on cases, and even had the opportunity to attend trials. I was able to gain a deeper understanding of what being a criminal defense attorney is really like, which makes me extremely excited to continue pursuing this field in the future.

My name is Maria Ramirez. I am currently a senior at the University of South Florida (USF). I am majoring in Criminology and minoring in Political Science. After graduation, I plan on pursuing a Master’s degree in criminology before attending law school.
What do you enjoy about interning at Rossen Law Firm?
During my internship at Rossen Law Firm, I was involved in various projects and rewarding work. I was able to attend court hearings and depositions, meet clients for strategy sessions, organize litigation files, and learn how to draft notices and subpoenas for depositions. The attorneys at RLF are very experienced and diligent and they are always open to answering questions and involving their interns in their cases. The firm’s attorneys and staff are dedicated to working with their employees to find the best possible solution to their cases. I respect and value their teamwork and dedication. They provided me with immense experience that I am certain will help me in the future as a prospective attorney.

When I am not working for the firm I am either conducting research on human trafficking and prisoner reentry programs through criminology labs at my university or spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy volunteering for nonprofit organizations. At home, I also spend time watching crime shows on Netflix such as Law & Order SVU and Cold Case.

My name is Hannah Diliddo, and currently I am a senior at Florida Atlantic University. I am majoring in Criminal Justice and Criminology, and I am minoring in Anthropology. Once I graduate, I plan to study law at Nova Southeastern University.
What do you enjoy about interning at Rossen Law Firm?
While interning, I have found joy in several different projects and informative tasks. I enjoy appearing for virtual court hearings, meeting clients for strategy sessions, organizing case files, learning how to write notices and subpoenas for depositions, and gaining useful knowledge from executing FAQs and Blogs. In addition, Rossen Law Firm works diligently to assist their clients and find the best solution for their cases. I respect and appreciate their teamwork and commitment, and while working alongside them, I am gaining all the more experience that is needed.
What do you do when you’re not working for Rossen Law Firm?
When I am not interning, I am working on the weekends, and studying for my classes during the weekdays. When I have spare time, I love to play video games, watch movies and shows, go jogging, and I take pleasure in reading fantasy/adventure novels with some cookies and tea. Also with my love for Japanese culture, I occasionally find time to train Ju-Jitsu at the dojo.

My name is Jeremy Jacobs and I am a senior in the Integrated Business program at University of Central Florida. I hope to attend law school upon graduation.
What do you enjoy about interning at Rossen Law Firm?
I enjoy interning at Rossen Law Firm because I get first hand experience in the working environment. My favorite parts have to be attending zoom court sessions as well as sitting in on depositions. The weekly projects help me become more knowledgeable in this field of law. It is such an enjoyable environment to be a part of.

My name is Carolina Sanchez-Torres and I’m a senior at American Heritage School in Plantation. In college, I plan on majoring in International Relations with a minor in Legal Philosophy on a Pre-Law track. After obtaining my bachelor’s degree, I then plan to enroll in law school to practice International Criminal Law in the future.
What do you enjoy about interning at Rossen Law Firm?
I love how much I’ve learned from interning at Rossen Law, most specifically the real life experience I’ve gotten outside of the classroom. All the attorneys are always open to answering questions and involving us in their cases.
What do you do when you’re not working for Rossen Law Firm?
When I’m not interning at the firm during the summer, you can either catch me at a local coffee shop, bookstore or mock trial practice. During the year I’m probably traveling with my school’s Model UN team and stressing over school work. I run my local chapter of the Junior State of America where I organize service projects to amplify teen voices in democracy. On the rare occasion that I have free time, I love to indulge in a good book or watch Legally Blonde for the 15th time.

I love how Adam, Manny, and David are always open to answer our questions and get us involved with what they are doing. Within the first week of being with the team I was sitting in virtual courtrooms and working on little projects. No matter how small or big your role is, everyone at Rossen Law Firm makes you feel a part of the family.
What do you do when you’re not working for Rossen Law Firm?
When I’m not with Rossen Law Firm, I work as a paralegal for an Estate Planning and Probate firm. I also am a mom, so on the weekends you can find me digging in the dirt with my son or enjoying a good pool day. When I can I like to read a good book or listen to the “Crime Junkie” podcast.

I’m a sophomore at Coral Glades High School. I enjoy critical thinking and debating. My goal is to go to law school after college and become a lawyer.
What do you enjoy about interning at Rossen Law Firm?
I love getting to learn about criminal defense strategies to better understand how the cases are dealt with. I’ve learned a lot about the court process through sitting in at court. Sitting in on client meetings has shown me how to compassionately relate with clients. I have better learned to empathize with people facing criminal defense charges.

I love staying involved with my community. I’m in my school’s Key Club and National Honor Society, where I participate in service projects to help benefit my community and others. My name is Esmira De Leon and I am a senior at Coral Glades High School. I was born in Dominican Republic and moved here about 5 years ago. I look forward to attending Nova Southeastern University and later going to Law School. My dream is to become a criminal defense attorney or a civil rights attorney.
What do you enjoy about interning at Rossen Law Firm?
Since the first time I reached out to Adam and his team they were nothing but welcoming. I love being able to start learning about what being an attorney is truly lucky at such an early stage of my life. Interning with Rossen Law Firm has helped me be a step closer to achieving my dreams, while also having fun.
Within the first few days I was already able to experience and sit in to a few client meetings and virtual court. Of course this was a bit confusing to me but Adam and Manny were able to help me gain a better understanding of what this all meant.

When not working for RLF I am involved with my church and extra curricular activities. I am currently Co- President for the Student Law Association at my school, along with being involved in other clubs. My name is Patricia Herrera and I am a recent graduate from the University of Miami with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and Spanish. I have a passion for politics and community service and attempt to use these passions daily and in the work I complete. What do you enjoy about interning at Rossen Law Firm?
I enjoy interning at Rossen Law Firm because the staff at the firm has cultivated a great environment for learning and growth and it has allowed me to begin learning about the legal system from day one. Additionally, they have allowed me to sit in on virtual hearings and practice my analytical skills, with projects that the team creates, in order to challenge their interns. When I am not working for the firm I am either studying for the LSAT, volunteering for different nonprofit organizations and spending time with my family.
